Day 1 of Baguio Trip during the Panagbenga Festival - Gtrand Streetdance Parade + Night Market

I'll not discuss how or why the festivities came about, you can find out more here: https://www.panagbengaflowerfestival.com/.

In this post, I'll highlight some of the most eye-catching streetdancers and in the last part, the Night Market experience.

We were picketed at the sidewalk of Cafe by the Ruins near the starting line at the Panagbenga Park.

The first to start the parade were the official organization and PMA

Then followed the sister cities - from Korea and other parts of the Philippines:

There are two categories and three divisions - the Drum & Lyre Category and the Streetdance Category and the divisions are Elementary, High School and Open.

Some spectacular costumes during the parade:

The parade (from where I was) lasted for 2 hours and they have to proceed to Burnham Park for them to perform.

So we had breakfast at SM Baguio and just to share the view from there:

Since we didn't get to sleep well, we checked in and woke up just in time for the Night Market along Harrison Road:

Two words - Divisoria level!

Or worst but bargain sale of clothes and accessories.

I was too tired once you get in, you have no choice to go with the flow up to the end of the street where the street food were located.

That's it :)

Hirayamanawari,

Rob
